Installing Mac OS X Cheetah on VirtualBox

If you're interested in running Mac OS X Cheetah on your PC, there are a few things you need to do first. Then, type the following command into the Command Prompt: `1600x900x32`. Once you've saved it, turn off the virtual machine.

To set up the Mountain Lion virtual machine after the initial installation, you'll need to use Multibeast 4.6.1, our favorite Hackintosh post-installation tool. This old version of Multibeast was actually designed for Mac OS X Lion instead of Mountain Lion, but it works better in this case.

To download Multibeast 4.6.1, registration is required on the tonymacx86 website. You'll need to use two different versions of Hackboot: 'Hackboot 1' for starting the Mountain Lion installer and 'Hackboot 2' for starting Mountain Lion itself.

The Olarila version of OS X Mountain Lion is not bootable by itself in Virtualbox, so you'll need to use a pirated copy of the Mountain Lion bootable DVD. You can download these copies from about any bittorrent website using a bittorrent client (it's about 4.5 GB in size).

Unfortunately, the standard method for installing OS X Mountain Lion on PCs doesn't work with Virtualbox. Instead, you'll have to rely on pirated 'distros' of Mountain Lion.

This virtualization suite is free, and though it doesn't offer official support for Mac OS X, it works well enough. With these steps, you should be able to get Mac OS X Cheetah running on your PC using Virtualbox.
